Shelburne Gazette and Coast Guard  28 October 1920 "Fine New Schooner...The new tern schooner Marguerite Ryan launched last Saturday from the yard of Shelburne Shipbuilders Ltd., is now ready for sea. She is owned by Ryan Bros., of St. John's, Newfoundland and is for fish carrying and trading. Messrs. Ryan Bros., are one of the oldest and most prominent firms in Newfoundland, owning a large fleet of fishermen and whalers, and carrying on an extensive trading business in Labrador. She will be commanded by Capt. Carter of St. John's , who with his crew is now here to take charge of her."
The Marguerite Ryan was abandoned in the North Atlantic 2 Feb 1923.
