The Shelburne County Archives & Genealogical Society is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1987.

To promote and encourage the study of family history in Shelburne County.
To assist with research of Shelburne County Genealogy.
To promote standards of accuracy, responsibility, and scholarly excellence among genealogists.
To contribute to the Society's holdings through volunteer activities and donations in a manner compatible with the aims and purposes of the Society.
To encourage and assist in the publication of genealogical source material.
Bad Weather:
We are usually closed on stormy days during the winter months. Please Call Ahead to make sure we're open during inclement weather.

Society Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month September to June inclusive, alternating between the Genealogical Resource Centre, 168 Water Street, Shelburne, and the Administrative Centre in Barrington.
Special programs are given, featuring speakers from within or outside the Society's membership.

Field trips are made occasionally and workshops are held on topics of interest to genealogical researchers.
