The Society has a wealth of tools and resources available to assist you in researching life in Shelburne County since the Planter Townships of Barrington and Lockeport were founded and the first Loyalist fleet landed in May 1783. There are also records of early Mi’kmaq settlements.
Come yourself or if that's not possible our staff can carry out research on your behalf for a very affordable fee of $30.00 an hour plus the cost of research photocopies of primary documents and related materials.
Click on any of the subheadings above to obtain an idea of what we have to offer.
We look forward to talking with you and helping you with your specific research.
