Family files are available for the following Surnames, some with accompanying binders. Many of the files and binders contain much of the family history in Nova Scotia, some linking to other parts of Canada and the United States.
Families are always being added whenever there is a request for information so our files are always growing.

The files contain such primary source information as vital statistics, deeds, wills, bibles, land grants, census, church, school, and cemetery records. Also included are secondary materials such as clippings, and photographs. Some of the information has been contributed by researchers within a family. A number of documented Loyalist and Mayflower family names and related information is also available.

The family files are available for hands on research at the center. Alternatively, you may submit a query to the Society.  A preliminary search will be performed for $20.00. The cost of query research is $30/hr.
